The Old School: a before and after staging transformation

Nesh has worked with this client multiple times now so they have built a fantastic professional relationship. One of their most recent projects was ‘The Old School’ property in Norfolk.

As property developers, they wanted to transform this run down old school into a desirable holiday let destination and with the help of Nesh they have definitely achieved that.

Take a virtual tour of the property below…

Staged kitchen before and after

The large open-plan kitchen is definitely at the heart of this property. It boasts a sizeable kitchen island with an added seating area and there’s plenty of room for socialising and entertaining.

The modern meets classic design suits the age of the property but definitely brings it into the 21st century. Nesh pulled the kitchen scheme together by adding sumptuous velvet bar stools and chairs in a rich colour palette, as well as some statement artwork and accessories.

Staged living space before and after

The property developers decided that they wanted to have a big open-plan area for the general living space. It was so spacious that Nesh was thrilled to include a large 10 seater dining table into the design, ideal for celebrating special occasions.

A classic chesterfield sofa and grey upholstered chairs are the focal point of the living room area, which flows beautifully with the rest of the space.

Main bedroom before and after

The master bedroom is at the top of the house, it has a pitched roof and an adjoining en-suite.

Nesh created a calm and relaxing design with a neutral colour palette and lots of textural fabrics. A statement upholstered bed and heavy drape curtains make this bedroom feel warm and luxurious.

Modern renovated bathroom

Like the rest of the property, the main bathroom was completely renovated. It didn’t require much staging as it’s a relatively compact space so Nesh didn’t want to overcrowd it.

Nesh simply added some contemporary bathroom accessories such as a wooden soap dispenser and tumbler, fresh white towels and some luxurious bath products to finish everything off.

Staged twin bedroom

When staging a holiday let, it’s important to consider the different room configurations that may be needed. Nesh worked with the client on this and decided they needed to include a twin bedroom.

These can be tricky to stage as there often isn’t much room and you want to make the most out of the space. Nesh kept the design warm and minimal with textured throws and cushions as well as some statement wall art.
