Out Westgate, Bury St Edmunds house tour

Nesh was approached to work on this staging project in Out Westgate Bury St Edmunds back in 2021. Nesh worked closely with the client to add some personality and life into the newly renovated and contemporary design of this particular property.

The property boasts an open plan living space and spacious bedrooms that were completely transformed by Nesh into something vibrant and aspirational. Take a virtual tour of this staging project below.

Light and bright kitchen/diner

Nesh made the most out of the large kitchen space that was available and incorporated a dining area. Rather than leaving lots of empty floor space, Nesh chose a dining set that fit into the designated space perfectly. The modern style of it suits the kitchen and fits in with the design seamlessly.

To stage this area, Nesh brought in kitchen accessories that you would expect to see in a lived in kitchen. For example, jars filled with dried goods, crockery and cooking implements.

The big bouquet of colourful flowers acts as a statement focal point.

Cosy living room

Staging a living space is all about creating a certain feeling and ambience. In most properties, whether it’s a lived in home or a holiday let, the homeowner or guests want the space to feel cosy and homely.

Nesh has successfully created this vibe with contemporary grey sofas and lots of scatter cushions that bring colour to the room.

A glass coffee table placed in the middle of the two sofas frames the space beautifully and has been accessorised with a teapot, mugs and a book.

A great staging tip is grouping your artwork into a set of three. Take inspiration from the living room pictured above and choose abstract art that suits the style of the property.

Stylish bedroom

During the planning process, Nesh works closely with the client to decide on colour schemes. Colour is a key element when it comes to designing a bedroom as it can change the entire look and feel of that particular room.

For this room, Nesh wanted to make the most out of the natural light that was available and choose vibrant pops of colour that blend in with the view.

A grey upholstered bed and a pair of slick wooden bedside tables give this bedroom a Scandi-inspired vibe, which is enhanced by the vibrant colour palette that was chosen.

Simple bathroom

The bathroom in this property required little to no staging as it was a calming neutral space that was newly built.

Nesh simply added a few accessories that you would expect to see in a bathroom to keep things looking natural and appropriately styled.

Beautifully packaged bathroom products have been placed on the sink and on the edge of the bath as well as some bright blue towels, a bar of soap and a nail brush - all classic bathroom items that you would expect to see.

On trend bedroom

Nesh designed this bedroom with the rest of the house in mind. Using different tones of the same colour palette makes the entire project feel cohesive.

Nesh has stuck with the same shade of coral but has added an edge with dark navy velvet cushions. Large baskets at the of the bed are perfect for storing extra throws and bedding and feel bang on trend.
